Strengthening the County of Monterey Health System through Strategic Planning

Raimi + Associates recently led two separate but coordinated strategic planning processes with the County of Monterey Health Department and Natividad (county hospital). Leaders from the Health Department and Natividad also clarified shared priorities and strengthened their collaboration. This work resulted in the County Board of Supervisors’ unanimous approval of both strategic plans on December 3, 2024.

Each plan begins with a visual representation of the County of Monterey Health System (also developed through the planning process) that emphasizes a shared approach to centering the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities in all services, programs, and policies.

Each plan then presents organization-specific goals and strategies as well as strategies both organizations will collaboratively implement. The plans articulate how the County of Monterey Health System will meet diverse community and individual needs and accomplish ambitious aims through 2028 and beyond. Our team at Raimi + Associates was excited by the opportunity to balance the specific considerations (and timelines!) of each organization while clarifying the cross-cutting elements central to the health system.

We feel honored to have been able to contribute to this critical work with partners who deeply value providing the highest quality care and services to every person in the County of Monterey.
