Ron Whitmore

Ron has led community planning and development initiatives for over twenty years – as a manager and deputy director for public planning and development agencies, as a senior municipal community planner, as a consultant, as founding CEO of an urban community development corporation, and with the Peace Corps. Ron has managed energy, sustainability, climate change, capital budgeting, economic development, food systems, and community and comprehensive planning programs. Ron specializes in designing participatory, knowledge-driven, transparent planning processes that produce actionable plans to deliver multi-goal co-benefits. An enterprising leader, Ron directs complex projects, facilitates outcome-focused meetings, and navigates comfortably across community, business, government, and higher education environments.
